Mix flour and salt. Cut in Crisco until texture is like a coarse meal.
Drizzle in ice water while blending.
When dough is able to form a soft dough, divide into two balls and let rest, covered, 10 minutes or until ready to use.
To keep water cold, place a handful of ice chips into a measuring cup and fill to the 1 cup mark with cold water. Use a turkey baster to draw out water down to the 1/2 cup mark.
Dough will be flakier if handling is kept to a minimum. Dough should be rolled out quickly to remain cool until set into pie plate.
Recipe will make one double-crust deep dish pie or two regular shells.
